OUR MISSION

Our mission is to nurture the next generation of dancers while instilling in our students a lifelong appreciation for dance, theater, and music. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing exceptional dance education in a positive, supportive environment.

WHAT WE VALUE

We value strong technical training while remaining mindful of each student’s individual health, development, and well-being. We emphasize good sportsmanship, respect, perseverance, and the importance of celebrating one another’s accomplishments.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe students reach their highest potential when they learn in an environment that mentors, cares for, and supports them. Every dancer is an individual, and we strive to understand each student’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

OUR FACULTY

Our faculty are highly trained professionals with years of teaching experience, academic degrees, and professional performing careers. Most importantly, they possess a genuine gift for working with and inspiring aspiring young dancers.

WHAT WE TEACH

Our ballet program is rooted in classical ballet traditions and pedagogy, with a carefully crafted syllabus and style designed to produce dancers with technical clarity, generous épaulement, and musicality. Each level is carefully designed to build on the skills learned previously, ensuring that students develop the strength, coordination, artistry, and confidence needed before advancing to the next level.

We take great care to see every student as an individual, closely monitoring their needs and progress throughout their training.

WE PERFORM

Performance is an essential part of a dancer’s education. The technical work developed in the classroom is ultimately preparation for the stage, where dancers learn to communicate, perform, collaborate, and grow as artists.

All students have the opportunity to participate in our annual year-end concert. Students age 5 and up may audition for our production of The Nutcracker. Dancers in Level 4A and above are invited to take a deeper dive into the life of a dancer by joining our youth company, Bay Area Youth Ballet (BAYB).

BAYB company dancers benefit from additional performance opportunities, community service experiences, and the opportunity to be part of The Ballet Alliance.
