BABC Uniforms / Dress Code

Bay Area Ballet Conservatory’s ballet students wear specific dancewear uniforms according to their ballet level, and all other dance genres have a dress code as well. Our uniforms and dress code ensure teachers are able to see student alignment and positioning, helps minimize distraction and gives a sense of class pride.

Most ballet levels/classes have a uniform that is part of a color code - much like a Karate student progressing through different belt colors.

We expect our students to be in their uniforms within two weeks of enrollment or level change.

For your dancer’s safety - no jewelry, watches, Fitbits, or long fingernails are permitted. Stud earrings are okay.

Bay Area Ballet Conservatory currently carries our Pre Ballet, Level 1A, Level 1B, Level 2, Level 3 and some children’s tights. We do not carry shoes. For items we do not carry, we encourage you to shop local! Out-of-stock BABC Store items are replenished frequently. Please let us know if you need an item.
