Dear prospective students, the class schedules below reflect our 2025/2026 School Session schedule. Information and schedules for the next School Session will be updated later this spring, with registration opening on or around May 1st. We are no longer accepting registrations for the current 25/26 School Session. We're happy to schedule a complimentary trial/placement class for Summer and 26/27 School Session consideration. ~BABC
Primary Division
Pre Ballet I & II, Level 1A, Level 1B, Level 1C
August 17, 2026 through June 13, 2027
Bay Area Ballet Conservatory offers exceptional classical ballet training and is a premier choice for families throughout San Mateo and San Francisco counties. Our program begins in the Primary Division, where young children are introduced to the foundations of this art form and a lasting appreciation for dance is nurtured.
BABC is distinguished by its highly educated faculty of professional teachers, most of whom are former professional ballet dancers, as well as by its warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Above all, we love working with children and sharing our knowledge and passion for ballet with our students.
PRE BALLET I & II
Pre Ballet II Student As A “Queen’s Rose” In Swan Lake
Our program begins with Pre-Ballet I, designed for students who are age 3* by September 1, 2026 through age 4. Pre-Ballet II is for students age 4 by September 1, 2026 through age 5. Each class meets once per week for 45 minutes. Pre-Ballet I and II are often combined and reflect a student’s progression toward entering Level 1A (for students age 5 by September 1 through age 7).
Our Pre-Ballet program introduces creative movement, early ballet foundations, and places a strong emphasis on classroom readiness—such as listening, following instructions, taking turns, and developing focus in a structured environment. In Pre-Ballet II, students build upon these skills with increased attention to etiquette, alignment, and basic positions, as teachers guide them toward readiness for Level 1A, often by the second semester.

Pre Ballet I & II students will perform in “Coppelia and the Magic Toy Shoppe” - June 13th & 14th, 2026 at Skyline College. Rehearsal practice is covered during the last 10 minutes of class March-June, 2026
TUITION & FEES
Registration Fee: $50 Per Family, due upon enrollment for each new School Session.
Monthly Tuition Installment: $80.25 per installment
Our tuition is calculated by taking the total academic year cost and dividing it into 10 equal installments (Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr/May). Thus, when there are scheduled holidays, tuition is not prorated. Sibling Discounts: (2) 5% off the lesser child’s tuition. (3+) 10% off the lesser child’s tuition.
Coppelia & The Magic Toy Shoppe Performance Participation Fee: $145 Early Bird (Due Nov. 1) OR $165 (Due Feb. 1)

LEVEL 1A
Level 1A Student As A “Cherub” In The Nutcracker
Level 1A is designed for students who are age 5 by September 1, 2026 through age 7. Classes meet once per week for 60 minutes and are appropriate for both beginners and students with prior experience.
At this level, students continue their development of foundational ballet technique, learning basic positions and movements while strengthening spatial awareness, flexibility, and coordination. Classes maintain an emphasis on musicality and expression while continuing to support focus, confidence, and a positive classroom environment.

Level 1B Student As A “Frog” In Swan Lake
Level 1B is designed for students who are age 7 by September 1, 2026, or by faculty recommendation. Each class is 60 minutes. Students are encouraged to enroll in classes twice per week, though this is not required.
At this level, students begin a more formal study of classical ballet, with barre work introduced and a greater emphasis on technical training. Instruction continues to build flexibility, coordination, and musicality, while supporting students’ growing focus and confidence in the classroom.

LEVEL 1C
Student In “Sunset” From Coppelia And The Magic Toy Shoppe
Level 1C is by faculty recommendation only and is determined through a placement or trial class for new students. Enrollment in two classes per week is required. Each class is 60 minutes.
Building on the foundation established in Level 1B, students begin to experience a fully traditional classical ballet class structure. Barre work becomes more detailed, and students are introduced to more developed center work and traveling combinations. Training places a greater emphasis on flexibility, strength, and musicality, while continuing to support students’ confidence and focus in a structured class environment.
Level 1C also serves as preparation for entering the Pre-Professional Division at Level 2.
