Boys’ Ballet Ages 8-12

Boys’ Ballet Program

Our Boys’ Ballet Program is designed to inspire strength, confidence, and artistry in young male dancers. Classes focus on building athleticism, coordination, musicality, and a strong foundation in classical ballet technique.

Students will work on posture, agility, core stability, dynamic jumps, and movement quality in a supportive class environment designed specifically for boys.

This program is open to boys ages 8–12, with or without previous ballet experience. Age 7 may be considered with demonstrated readiness through a trial or placement class.

$53.50 monthly tuition installments*

Boys who are also enrolled in regular program classes and meet their assigned level requirements will receive the Boys’ Ballet class on full scholarship.

Tuition will automatically post as $0, as most Boys Ballet Program students are also enrolled in our regular program and attend this class on full scholarship. For boys enrolled solely in Boys Ballet, tuition of $53.50 per month will be billed internally and processed using the card on file on the first of each month.

Boys enrolled in Boys’ Ballet who also participate in Bay Area Youth Ballet productions, such as The Nutcracker and the year-end concert, will receive a 50% scholarship toward their production participation fees.

Please Note
Pre-Professional students may not use the Boys’ Ballet class to replace any required technique classes for their assigned level.

Instructor - Mr. Ethan Epstein

Ethan Epstein is from Boston, MA where he began his ballet training at Boston Ballet School. Ethan went on to train at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the direction of Darla Hoover and Marcia Dale Weary, where he danced principal and soloist roles in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Emeralds, and Alan Hineline’s Coppelia. Professionally, Ethan has danced at Alabama Ballet and Oklahoma City Ballet. He danced roles including Candy Cane in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, The Champion Roper in Agnes de Mille's Rodeo, and Bluebird in Sleeping Beauty. Ethan taught at the Alabama Ballet School and Birmingham Academy of Dance while dancing professionally. Ethan has served as the Children’s Rehearsal Director for Balanchine’s Nutcracker for three years and has guest taught company class at Alabama Ballet. Ethan frequently returns to the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet as a Summer Intensive Faculty Member.
